Happy Easter!!!

Happy Easter Y'all. Well fellow bloggers it is that time again, time to hide some eggs and clean some closets. Another semester is coming to end just in time for some spring cleaning, not to forget planting. Tomatoes have already started to grow on the vine. I feel very fortunate to have a beautiful view of nature from my office window. It is so much easier to relax and get some writing done when the picture in my window is of the horses in the pasture grazing on fresh spring grass, the bluebirds playing in the birdbath just outside my window and bright yellow butterflies fluttering around in the breeze. Ahh, what a wonderful time of year! Now that my mind is in a peaceful state, time to let the writing begin. Until next week, every one enjoy this gorgeous time!
God Bless,
Chrissy

  1. Chrissy, you are such a good writer. You really communicate what you are feeling as you write. I am jealous of the view you have, it sounds so nice.
I have some seeds started, myself. Nothing has sprouted yet in this spring/winter/spring/winter flip-flopping weather we are still having in Colorado. But they are staying nice and warm in the small greenhouse we have in the back yard. I have to go and check on "my babies" later today, lol.
Good luck with everything. We will probably run into each other in another class, so I'll see you there!
    Happy Easter!

  2. Amanda,
I don't know about being a good writer. I just try to be as descriptive as possible so maybe ya'll can get a sense of what I am seeing! I cheated on my plant, I bought a patio tomato already about 2' tall from Wally world. We also are still having spring/winter flip flops. One day it is sunny and 80, the next it's cold windy and raining and not to forget that blasted snow that keeps showing up! I hope we do have other classes together, I've enjoyed talking with ya. Next term I have Diseases of the Human Body and Software Applications. Hope to see ya! If not email me lilredneckwoman11@yahoo.com.
    Happy Easter to you too!

  3. Hi Chrissy,

I think I picked my last tomato of the season here in Florida. I need to plant some tree seedlings before I leave for Memphis on the 22nd, but gardening season is basically over here until fall. I have papaya, fig and juniper trees to plant. They are getting root bound in their pots. My mango tree is blooming though. I can't wait to see the dogwood and redbud blooms in Memphis!
Oh yea, daffodils and tulips as well.

  4. Oh Nancy, I am soooo jealous! I wish we had the weather here to support growth of such tropical fruits such as mango and papaya! I would love to try to grow strawberries and plant a plum tree. Although I am not really sure they would do well in the Texas heat. I can't believe that your growing season is over already and mine is just beginning. I know how the weather is there though, my husband is there every week on the truck making deliveries. I used to go with him until my mom got sick with cancer. I loved it there and can't wait to go back.
