Home Sweet Home

Hello everyone!
Today I am stopping to smell the roses so to speak. We, my family, have just made a huge step in our lives. My mother is being treated for Stage 3 Not Small Cell Carcinoma Lung cancer. So we bought a new home and moved in this week along with my 24 year old daughter so that we can live as a family as long as the good Lord allows. Its been a very trying week, but things are coming together. So as I sit and type these words to you, I look around, breathe a sigh, and think, "It's good to be home. I am blessed". I hope all of you are blessed in your routines and lives this week as well!

  1. Wow Chrissy, so sorry to hear about your Mom. I had a grandmother and an aunt who passed away from lung cancer. I am so glad that I looked at your blog today to remind me how importnat it is not to smoke. It, of course, is possible the her cancer was aquired by other means, so I am not assuming that she smokes, but it just reminded me of my family members that suffered with cancer , as well. Well, at least you can be thankful that all of your family still gets along well enough to live in the same house. Some don't even have that. :)

  2. Amanda,
It is funny you say that, all four of us smoke! And we, all except me and mom, aren't getting along as well as normal right now with the stress of the move. The good thing is we all have a strong enough relationship to work it out before the day is done. We are very fortunate to have that and am very thankful for it!
